Two apartments in London attributed to Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei have been put up for sale.
The property is located on Palace Green in Kensington, less than 50 meters from the Israeli embassy.

Modern.az reports that, according to “The Sunday Times”, the apartments on the sixth and seventh floors of the building were purchased in 2014 and 2016 with the help of intermediaries. One of them, bought for 19 million pounds sterling in 2016, is currently being sold for 12 million pounds sterling. The second was bought for 16.75 million pounds sterling, but its current price is unknown.

According to the newspaper, the sale is linked to Iranian banker Ali Ansari, who was sanctioned by the British authorities and accused of acting as an intermediary for Khamenei.

After Ansari stopped paying the mortgage, the British authorities decided to sell the property.

Previously, the British media drew attention to the location of the apartments: "they are so close to the Israeli embassy that it is possible to see its back from there." The properties also have rooms for servants and roof terraces.

At the same time, the British media linked the apartments to Khamenei, but this has not been officially confirmed.
