North Korean leader Kim Jong Un demanded that company commanders of the Korean People's Army (KPA) ensure the full combat readiness of units by conducting intensive and regular military exercises.
Modern.az reports that the Korean Central Telegraph Agency (KCNA) disseminated information about this on October 28.
According to the agency, Kim Jong Un stated that the main task of company commanders is to ensure the full readiness of units for war.
“Comrade Kim Jong Un noted that the most important revolutionary task facing company commanders is to improve the unit's full readiness for war. The practical way to do this is continuous and intensive military training,” the agency's report says.
According to the North Korean leader, commanders should form units with high combat capability, strong revolutionary conviction and patriotic spirit.
Kim Jong Un also emphasized that the strength of the army is not determined only by modern weapons. The training of personnel and the combat capabilities of individual units are also of great importance.
The meeting with the participants of the III meeting of company commanders of the Korean People's Army took place on October 27.
The event was attended by North Korean Defense Minister Kim Son Gi, Chief of the General Staff of the Korean People's Army Li Yong Gil, Deputy Chief of the Main Political Directorate of the army Yu Kvan U, as well as commanders of branches of troops and commanders of large military formations.
