The Houthis in Yemen have once again attacked Saudi Arabia with missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles.

According to the information, the attacks were carried out at a time when the situation around the Strait of Hormuz was escalating. It is reported that 13 civilians were injured as a result of the strikes.
The Houthis announced that they launched dozens of missiles and drones at the military air base in Khamis Mushait, a city in southern Saudi Arabia. They indicated aircraft hangars, radar systems, runways, and ammunition depots as targets of the attacks. Emergency warnings were announced in several cities of Saudi Arabia in connection with the attacks.
In addition, it is reported that the Houthis have strengthened their positions on the western coast of Yemen. In recent days, it is noted that the group has taken control of Perim Island, located at the entrance to the Red Sea, and approached the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait, which is considered one of the main routes of world trade. One of the factors further complicating the situation is the suspension of operations of Saudi Arabia's oil pipeline. The East-West pipeline, built to transport oil to the Red Sea bypassing the Strait of Hormuz, went out of service after an air attack on September 10.
Saudi Arabia blamed armed groups in Iraq supported by Iran for the attack.
