The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, won the election with 99.85 percent of the votes.
Modern.az reports that, according to the Russian Central Election Commission, after processing all protocols, Kadyrov won the support of 99.85 percent of voters. His two rivals – Ismail Denilkhanov from the “Fair Russia” party and Khalid Nakaev from the Russian Communist Party – each collected 0.05 percent of the votes.
Thus, Kadyrov also improved his previous result in direct elections. He collected 97.94 percent of the votes in 2016 and 99.7 percent in 2021. The result of 99.85 percent in the 2026 election is his personal record.
Kadyrov has been the head of Chechnya since 2007. This is his third direct election as the head of the region.
It is interesting that Ramzan Kadyrov won the title of the region's leader who collected the most voter votes in world history with 98.85 percent of the votes.
