After US President Donald Trump restricted some media outlets from working in the White House, TV channels decided to boycott Trump's events.
Modern.az reports that, according to the BBC, this is considered an unprecedented boycott of the president's activities in the US.
The boycott decision was made after Trump banned CNN, “Politico” and MS NOW from operating in the White House on Friday. The president stated that these media outlets “negatively covered” his activities.
Although Fox News, ABC, NBC and CBS were not subject to the ban, they showed solidarity with their colleagues and announced that they would not cover the president's events on television as long as the restrictions remained in force.
Brian Bouton, head of Fox News' Washington bureau, said:
“We announce that from today, events intended to be covered by television will not be covered by the president.”

Meanwhile, against the backdrop of the conflict between the Donald Trump administration and a number of American media outlets, the White House launched an online broadcasting platform called “TRUMP TV: The Essentials Station.”
The White House website stated about the broadcast: “Watch the most important events that occurred during the Trump administration in one place.”
The broadcast description notes that the live broadcast started on September 21 at 7:00 PM local time.
Thus, the dispute between the Trump administration and leading US media outlets regarding access to the White House and coverage of presidential events has entered a new phase.
