In July 2026, the UN General Assembly will hold a two-day high-level meeting dedicated to the interim assessment of the implementation of the New Urban Agenda.
Modern.az reports that these views were expressed by Annalena Baerbock, President of the United Nations General Assembly, at the official opening ceremony of the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) held in Baku.
The President of the UN General Assembly stated that the main goal of the document is to promote the development of inclusive, safe, sustainable and resilient cities.
She added that the principles of the New Urban Agenda remain as relevant today as they were 10 years ago when they were adopted.
“The New Urban Agenda continues to be our common roadmap.”
