Numan Kurtulmuş stated that holding the Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Baku is an important and valuable event for Turkey.

He expressed his satisfaction with the meeting being held on the fraternal Azerbaijani land and assessed the transfer of the PUIC's rotating chairmanship to the Speaker of the Milli Majlis, Sahiba Gafarova, as an important event.
Numan Kurtulmuş stated that the world is currently going through a stage where the old international system is collapsing and a new multi-polar order is forming. According to him, this process opens up great opportunities for the Islamic world.
The Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey noted that differences in opinion, political, ethnic, and sectarian differences among Islamic countries should be accepted as richness, not confrontation. He emphasized that if the Islamic world can combine its potential in science, technology, and high technologies, it can become one of the rising power centers of the world in the future.
