The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) of Armenia stated that there are no legal grounds to cancel the results of the parliamentary elections held on June 7.

Modern.az reports, citing Armenian media, that this was stated by Nune Hovhannisyan, Deputy Chairperson of the CEC, during her speech at the Constitutional Court.

According to her, violations recorded in individual polling stations cannot be a basis for invalidating the overall results of the elections.

"Elections can only be considered invalid if the violations are so widespread that they prevent the Central Electoral Commission from conducting a real count of votes," Hovhannisyan emphasized.
