Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze accused German Ambassador to the country Peter Fischer of damaging relations between the two countries.
Modern.az reports that Kobakhidze said this while commenting on Peter Fischer's completion of his diplomatic mission in Georgia.
According to the Prime Minister, Peter Fischer was the only ambassador among German ambassadors who worked in Georgia for many years who did not contribute to the development of bilateral relations, but rather seriously damaged them.
Peter Fischer served as Germany's ambassador to Georgia since 2022. He announced the end of his diplomatic mission on the social network X.
It should be noted that even before this, representatives of the Georgian government accused Peter Fischer of interfering in the internal affairs of the country and supporting protest actions.
