Trade turnover between Armenia and Russia decreased by 21.5%

Trade turnover between Armenia and Russia decreased by 21.5 percent in the first five months of 2026 compared to the same period last year.

Modern.az reports that the Statistical Committee of Armenia released information about this.

According to the information, the volume of mutual trade between the two countries amounted to 2.196 billion dollars in January-May. This figure was 2.763 billion dollars in the same period last year.

According to the report, the share of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries in Armenia's foreign trade also decreased. Thus, this indicator fell from 36.7 percent to 29.8 percent.

At the same time, an increase was recorded in Armenia's trade turnover with other EAEU member countries. Trade with Belarus increased by 8.3 percent, with Kazakhstan by 10 percent, and with Kyrgyzstan by approximately 195 percent.
