New allegations have been made against Hummat Aliyev, the former Azerbaijani vice-rector of the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts (GITIS).
Modern.az reports, citing Russian media, that according to the allegations, after the murder of GITIS rector Sergey Isayev, the institute's Training Theater located near Vorontsov Park in Moscow and a number of buildings were given to former vice-rector Hummat Aliyev.
It is alleged that Vladimir Slepak, Deputy Chairman of the Moscow government, supported him in this matter. There are also allegations that Hummat Aliyev, along with his son Emil Aliyev, Eldar Mirvat oglu Aliyev, Maxim Sardarov, and a person named Viktor Lutsenko, are suspected of financial crimes.
It should be noted that Hummat Aliyev was born in Azerbaijan, and the first years of his professional activity were connected with Baku. He graduated from the Baku Choreography School in 1972, and then performed at the Azerbaijan State Opera and Ballet Theater. Aliyev worked as a teacher at the Choreography School in Baku and moved from Baku to Moscow in 1990.
He went to Moscow and studied at the ballet master faculty of GITIS. Our compatriot stated that his main specialty was classical dance, and then he studied law. He was appointed to the position of vice-rector at GITIS in 1994. In addition to administrative and economic affairs, Hummat Aliyev taught classical dance and the basics of law.
In his interview, he also noted that Baku had changed during his last visits, and he was struck by the city's cleanliness, fountains, and the large number of children.
