Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is traveling to Kazakhstan.

Modern.az reports that Erdoğan will first hold a one-on-one meeting with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the Palace of Independence. Later, the leaders will co-chair the meeting of the Turkey-Kazakhstan High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council.

It is reported that during the talks, bilateral relations at the level of “expanded strategic partnership” will be discussed in all directions, and steps to further strengthen strategic ties between the two countries will be reviewed.

In the economic part of the visit, the main focus will be on the 15 billion dollar trade volume target set between the two countries and cooperation projects in the energy sector. Within this framework, new cooperation protocols and agreements are expected to be signed in various fields.

In addition, Erdoğan and Tokayev are planned to participate in the Turkey-Kazakhstan Business Forum, meet with business people from both countries, and discuss investment opportunities.

After completing his program in Astana, the Turkish President will travel to the city of Turkistan, considered the spiritual capital of the Turkic world. Here, he will participate in the Informal Leaders' Summit of the Organization of Turkic States.

According to information, Erdoğan is expected to deliver important messages regarding regional and global issues, especially the latest developments in the Middle East, in his speech within the framework of the summit. The Turkish leader will also hold bilateral meetings with the participating heads of state and government.
