The meeting for the signing of previously announced agreements between US and Iranian representatives will be held in Bürgenstock, Switzerland.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Pierre Alain Eltschinger, spokesman for the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"Over the past few days, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been in close contact with the US, Iran, Pakistan and Qatar regarding the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran in Switzerland. The signing of this document is currently planned for Friday, June 19, in Bürgenstock, Nidwalden canton," he told TASS.
Eltschinger noted that the meeting place was proposed by the mediators - Pakistan and Qatar, as well as the US and Iran. He added that Switzerland acts as a mediator in these negotiations and creates diplomatic conditions for this meeting to be held on Swiss soil. Preparations for the meeting are already in full swing. All hotels in the resort town are booked until Sunday.
