"If Iran resumes nuclear production, it will face incredible consequences. I will not tell you what the consequences will be, but they will face the most severe fate."
Modern.az reports that US President Donald Trump stated this to journalists at the G7 summit in France.
Commenting on Iran's policy of developing nuclear weapons, Trump said:
"Tehran will not be allowed to develop, acquire, or otherwise obtain nuclear weapons. This forms the basis of the memorandum of understanding developed between the US and Iran. They will not develop nuclear weapons, they will not acquire them, they will not obtain them, or do anything else with them. If they do, hell will come upon them."
Trump expressed hope that very good relations would be established between Washington and Tehran in the future, but noted that preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons would always remain a top priority for them.
