The US administration is considering the possibility of providing F-35 fighters to Turkey and is working with Congress on this issue.
Modern.az reports, citing foreign media, that US Vice President J.D. Vance stated this.
"I know that US Secretary of Defense Hagset and the entire team are currently looking into this issue. Because there are certain points that need to be approved to comply with the requirements of US law. The President has instructed us to work on this," Vance said at a meeting between US President Donald Trump and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at the White House.
According to him, the issue mainly concerns Congress:
"This is about whether Turkey complies with US laws to be able to acquire F-35s," Vance explained.
