For the first time, a case of dangerous Ebola virus infection has been registered in France.
Modern.az reports that the infection was detected in a doctor returning from a humanitarian mission in Congo. According to the Ministry of Health, the patient was immediately isolated, and a list of people who had contact with him was drawn up and taken under strict control.
Although experts currently assess the overall risk level for the European population as low, they have strengthened precautionary measures due to the new epidemic outbreak in Central Africa, where more than 1,000 people have been infected. Medical supervision of passengers has already been sharply tightened at a number of large airports on the continent.
