The exchange rate of "Bitcoin" has fallen below 60 thousand dollars. This is the third time the cryptocurrency has fallen below this threshold since the beginning of 2026.

The current price is more than twice lower than the historical maximum of 126 thousand dollars recorded in October 2025.
After previous declines in February and early June, "Bitcoin" rose by 10-30 percent from local minimum levels, but then began to fall again.
Thus, after falling to 59 thousand dollars, the minimum of 2026, on June 5, the demand for "Bitcoin" increased and by mid-month the exchange rate rose to 67 thousand dollars. However, then the decline started again. The current price is approximately 20 percent lower compared to June 1.
Although "Bitcoin" remained above 63 thousand dollars in the morning, sharp sales began in the market after 16:30 Baku time and the decline continued for several hours. According to information as of 20:00, the lowest BTC indicator was 59,622 dollars in the USDT pair on the "Binance" platform, one of the largest crypto exchanges.
According to "Coinglass" service, which monitors the forced closing of trading positions, in just one hour, long positions worth approximately 100 million dollars of traders who bet on the appreciation of "Bitcoin" were closed at a loss. The largest single liquidation was 12 million dollars on "Binance".
Against the background of the depreciation of "Bitcoin", other leading cryptocurrencies in the market also lost value. According to "CoinMarketCap", all of the top 100 cryptocurrencies showed negative dynamics both in the last 24 hours and in the last hour.
The total capitalization of the cryptocurrency market decreased from 2.15 trillion dollars to 2.04 trillion dollars in less than 24 hours.
