The Armenian government is considering new measures to increase the birth rate in the country.
Modern.az reports with reference to Armenian media that Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Arsen Torosyan stated this at a meeting held at the ministry.
According to him, changes can be made to existing mechanisms and state support programs can be expanded to stimulate demographic growth.
The minister believes that the new incentive measures to be implemented by the government can have a positive impact on the increase in birth rates.
It should be noted that four years ago, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan instructed the government to prepare programs related to improving the demographic situation in the country. According to that strategy, the goal is to increase the population of Armenia to 5 million people by 2050.
