Mojtaba Khamenei will not lead the funeral prayers for his father in Tehran, Qom, and Mashhad.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by US intelligence.
Earlier, it was speculated that after a new supreme leader is elected in Iran, Mojtaba Khamenei would make his first public appearance and lead the funeral prayers at the ceremony.
However, Iranian state media reported that three high-ranking ayatollahs would perform this duty instead.
It should be noted that Seyyed Ali Khamenei will be buried in Mashhad on July 9.
