The capsizing of a tourist boat carrying tourists near Phu Quoc island in southern Vietnam resulted in a tragedy.
Modern.az reports with reference to foreign media that the incident occurred approximately 400 meters from Hon May Rut Ngoay island.
According to the information, a speed boat with 32 tourists and 4 crew members on board capsized due to a sudden technical malfunction. As a result, all persons on board fell into the sea.
Rescuers involved in the incident managed to rescue 21 people alive. As a result of the accident, 15 people - 13 men and 2 women - lost their lives.
The survivors were hospitalized with various injuries.
An investigation is underway into the incident, and the exact cause of the accident is being determined.
