US President Donald Trump announced that discussions are underway between the US and Iran regarding the restoration of normal shipping in the Strait of Hormuz by August 4.

Modern.az reports that the American leader said this while answering journalists' questions at the White House.

"We are discussing the Strait of Hormuz. We will literally open it tomorrow. Full opening. This will be the first phase," the US President said.
