"Turkey's membership in the European Union (EU) is not among Ankara's priorities."
Modern.az reports that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated this in an interview with "Al Jazeera" television channel.
"Apparently, Europe is not ready to accept Turkey into the European Union," Erdoğan said.
According to the Turkish leader, in the current situation, the losing side is not Ankara, but Europe: "Membership in the European Union is not our priority. It is Europe that loses from Turkey not joining the Union."
