A shell has hit a high-rise building in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
Modern.az reports that details of the incident, the number of injured, and the extent of damage to the building have not been disclosed. It is also unknown where the shell was fired from.
The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and law enforcement agencies have not yet made an official statement regarding the incident.
It should be noted that Saudi Arabia had previously announced that drones and missiles around Riyadh were neutralized by air defense forces.
Houthi rebels operating in Yemen have carried out attacks on targets in Saudi Arabia in recent years. In August 2026, they also claimed to have struck Riyadh airport.
