The composition of the Russian delegation going to the talks on Ukraine in Abu Dhabi has been announced.
Modern.az reports that “Interfax” disseminated information about this, citing Kremlin official representative Dmitry Peskov.
It was stated that Russia will be represented in the talks by Vladimir Medinsky, assistant to President Vladimir Putin, Sergey Ryabkov and Mikhail Galuzin, deputy heads of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as representatives of two departments of the General Staff – Igor Kostyukov and Yuri Zhigarlovsky.
According to the information, all of them, as well as Yuri Ushakov, assistant to the Russian president, were invited to the meeting held by Vladimir Putin with permanent members of the Security Council a day earlier.
According to Peskov, Ushakov, as the head of state's assistant for international affairs, is curating the upcoming talks. Medinsky, Ryabkov, Galuzin, Kostyukov and Zhigarlovsky were included in the delegation that will represent Russia in Abu Dhabi.
It should be noted that Putin previously confirmed that talks with the US and Ukraine will be held in Abu Dhabi on November 10.
On October 22, the Russian president stated that the main goal of the upcoming trilateral talks is to achieve a final peace agreement, as well as to ensure the future security of the parties to the conflict.
