Umar Kremlev, head of the International Boxing Association (IBA), paid a portion of the significant expenses for Donald Trump's son, Donald Trump Jr.'s wedding ceremony held in the Bahamas.
Modern.az reports that this was stated in a Propublica publication's investigation.
According to the information, Kremlev covered a number of large expenses related to the three-day wedding ceremony. These include the rental of the private island where the reception was held and guests stayed, fireworks, and other expenses.
The organization of the event was also carried out by Kremlev's team. A representative for Donald Trump's son did not deny that payment was made by Kremlev. He stated that the IBA head was a "personal friend of Trump's son."
It should be noted that in April 2026, Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded Umar Kremlev the Order of Friendship.
