Russia has not received any request from Armenia regarding the withdrawal of its military base located in Gyumri.
Modern.az reports that Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin stated this in an interview with “Izvestiya” newspaper.
“We have not received any request from the Armenian side regarding the withdrawal of the Russian military base located in Gyumri,” the diplomat said.
Galuzin emphasized that Moscow still considers the said military base an important element of the security architecture of Armenia and the South Caucasus.
