Three-day voting has begun in Russia for the election of deputies to the IX convocation of the State Duma.
Modern.az reports with reference to “Kommersant” that the first polling stations opened in Kamchatka and Chukotka at 08:00 local time on September 18. This coincided with 23:00 Moscow time on September 17.
Voting will continue until September 20.
Ella Pamfilova, the chairperson of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Russia, joined the opening of the first polling stations via video link.
She also launched a video wall in the atrium of the CEC, where images from polling stations were displayed.
