The confrontation between the Armenian authorities and the Russian businessman of Armenian origin Samvel Karapetyan regarding the "Electric Networks" company continues.
Modern.az reports that Aleksey Shevtsov, Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of Russia, stated that the team of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is consistently moving towards the nationalization of the "Electric Networks" company owned by Karapetyan.
The Russian official assessed the steps of the Armenian authorities in this direction as a "raider-like takeover".
It should be noted that the Armenian government decided to fully nationalize "Electric Networks" in March 2026. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated at the time that the decision was based on the initial expert assessment of the company's market value.
Previously, in November 2025, Pashinyan presented the full nationalization of the company as one of the possible options.
