US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are currently the strongest and most combat-capable army in Europe.
Modern.az reports that Rubio expressed these views during an interview with Fox News during his visit to China.
According to him, the main reason for the Ukrainian army reaching this level is the combat experience it has gained.
Rubio noted that this result is not only due to foreign support, but also to practical military experience gained in wartime conditions.
The US Secretary of State also touched upon peace talks regarding the Russia-Ukraine war. He stated that in the last two months, Washington has “lost some of the impetus” in this process.
According to Rubio, Ukraine feels more confident due to the situation on the front and having passed the winter. Russia, on the other hand, is in a more optimistic position due to oil prices.
