Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić will not run in the next presidential elections, but will continue to remain in politics.
Modern.az reports that Aleksandar Vulin, former Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia, spoke about this in an interview with TASS.
According to him, Vučić is loyal to the country's Constitution and will not be a candidate for president for the third time.
“President Vučić is a constitutional leader, and according to our Constitution, a person can only be president for two terms. He never violates the Constitution and would not take such a step,” Vulin said.
In addition, the former deputy prime minister emphasized that Aleksandar Vučić will continue to actively participate in the political life of the country in the future.
“I am sure that President Vučić will remain part of Serbia's new political life and will continue to be involved in politics,” he added.
It should be noted that some time ago, Vučić himself said that he would not run if early presidential elections were held.
