The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (SEPAH) attacked a US military base previously used to strike targets on Iran's Sirik island.
Modern.az reports that SEPAH's statement dated June 1 was published by Iran's state television IRIB on its Telegram channel.
The statement said: "An hour ago, after the US army's aggression on Sirik island in Hormozgan province, SEPAH Aerospace Force fighter jets struck the airbase from which the aggression began, and the intended targets were destroyed."
It was noted that if strikes on Iranian territory are repeated, the response will be "completely different" and the responsibility will fall on the US.
