The French Navy, with the support of Great Britain and other allied forces, detained an oil tanker sailing from Russia and under international sanctions in the Atlantic Ocean.
Modern.az reports that French President Emmanuel Macron shared this on the X social network.
“Yesterday morning, the French Navy detained another oil tanker from Russia, the “Tagor”, which is subject to international sanctions. Our determination is unchanged and absolute,” Macron said.
The French president called the activities of vessels not subject to international sanctions unacceptable. He emphasized that such vessels pose a risk to both the environment and general security.
According to the information, the operation was carried out in the Atlantic Ocean with the participation of Great Britain and other allied countries.
