Armenia's Anti-Corruption Committee has announced that it has uncovered new facts regarding election bribery cases in the country.
Modern.az reports that "Armenpress" agency disseminated information about this.
According to the information, as a result of operational-search measures, it was determined that representatives of the "Prosperous Armenia" Party bribed a number of voters in Gogaran settlement and surrounding settlements, which are part of Spitak community of Lori region.
According to the allegations, voters were offered money on the condition that they vote for that party in the parliamentary elections and gather supporters.
A criminal case has been opened by the Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia regarding the fact. Several people have been arrested, and other procedural measures have been implemented.
The Committee stated that investigations are ongoing.
