A military aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force (AF) crashed in Khmelnytskyi region.
Modern.az reports that a statement was issued on the official “Telegram” channel of the Ukrainian Air Force.
The statement says that the incident occurred on June 16 at about 19:00. A “Su-24M” front-line bomber belonging to the 7th tactical aviation brigade named after Pyotr Franko of the Ukrainian Armed Forces crashed while performing a mission in Khmelnytskyi region.
As a result of the crash, the crew members of the aircraft – pilot, Major Bogdan Zagurlyuk and navigator, Senior Lieutenant Bogdan Babenko – died.
Currently, rescuers and law enforcement officers are conducting an investigation in the area where the plane crashed. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties among the civilian population during the accident.
