Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni told G7 leaders that she had quit smoking.

Modern.az reports that "The Telegraph" published information about this.

She spoke about this during her conversation with the leaders before the G7 meeting held in Evian-les-Bains, eastern France.

The leaders, including European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, had a conversation.

“What did you do this morning to wake up?” – asked von der Leyen. Merz asked, “What about cigarettes?”

“No, I’ve already quit,” Meloni replied.

In response, Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaiçi congratulated the Italian leader by saying “Bravo”. Von der Leyen briefly said, “Good.”

It should be noted that Meloni said last year that quitting smoking would be difficult for her, and that this process could even cause serious nervousness.
