Information has been spread that Artur Denisultanov, of Chechen origin, was killed during the ongoing battles in Ukraine.
Modern.az reports that "Mediazona" publication wrote about this, citing information allegedly leaked from Russian state registration data.
According to the information, 57-year-old Denisultanov lost his life on November 2, 2024, during battles near the city of Selidove, Donetsk region.
Before this, the Ukrainian side also stated that Denisultanov had died and published the number of his military insignia. According to the project's information, he served as a private rifleman in the 27th Motorized Rifle Division of the Russian Armed Forces.
"Mediazona" reports, citing "Kavkaz.Realii" publication, that Denisultanov was found guilty of fraud amounting to approximately 37 million rubles in 2023. It was noted that the court lightened the sentence taking into account his participation in combat operations.
Denisultanov's name was previously mentioned in cases of kidnapping, fraud, extortion, and other criminal cases.
In 2017, he was identified as a suspect in an assassination attempt against Adam Osmayev in Ukraine. Denisultanov, who was detained in Ukraine after that incident, was later handed over to Russia as part of a prisoner exchange.
It should be noted that the Russian and Ukrainian sides have not made an official statement regarding Denisultanov's death.
