The memorandum signed between the US and Iran did not include Israel's demands to stop aid to Iranian-backed forces and limit its ballistic missile program.

Modern.az reports that Financial Times published information about this.

A former Israeli official who spoke to the newspaper said:

“It is difficult to exaggerate how big a strategic disaster this is. Compared to the pre-war period, the situation is undoubtedly worse today. We are no longer moving in the same line with the US as before.”

According to the information, the interim agreement reached by US President Donald Trump with Tehran caused dissatisfaction in Israel. US Vice President J.D. Vance, in response, called on Israelis to “wake up and accept reality.”

Former US Ambassador to Israel Dan Shapiro noted that Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu overestimated their capabilities and lost the favorable strategic position they previously had.

According to the publication, despite suffering losses during the conflict, Tehran believes that its positions have been further strengthened.

In addition, the newspaper reports that the US is trying to implement a ceasefire in Lebanon, which has caused protests in Israel. According to Israeli political technologist Nadav Strauchler, the agreement with Iran dealt a serious political blow to Netanyahu ahead of the October elections.
