A terrible explosion occurred at a gas processing plant located in Qatar's Ras Laffan industrial zone.
Modern.az reports that the head of "QatarEnergy" company made an official statement about this.
As a result of the incident, 13 people lost their lives and 66 people sustained various degrees of bodily injuries.
According to the company's management, the explosion was not caused by any sabotage or external interference, but by an unfortunate accident. At the same time, it was announced that the incident will not have any negative impact on Qatar's natural gas exports and supplies will continue as planned.
An investigation is underway regarding the incident.
