The US and Iran will continue diplomatic activity to make progress in the talks.
Modern.az reports with reference to "RIA Novosti" agency that US Vice President J.D. Vance stated this in his statement on the results of the US-Iran talks held in Switzerland.
Vance noted that representatives of Washington and Tehran spent a very productive 36 hours.
"We must continue to work on this issue. We continue to make progress within the framework of technical talks," he emphasized.
It should be recalled that Vance had previously stated, commenting on the results of the talks, that Iran had undertaken to re-admit inspectors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to the country. According to him, the parties were able to form a reliable basis for a possible agreement.
On June 21, talks were held between the US and Iran in Bürgenstock, Switzerland, mediated by Qatar and Pakistan. The US delegation was led by J.D. Vance, Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff, and his son-in-law Jared Kushner. The Iranian side was represented by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi.
