Mediators and the Peace Council must pressure Israel to abide by the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and confirm the transition to the second phase of the peace plan.
Modern.az reports that the Hamas movement stated this in a statement issued on the results of the talks held in El-Alamein, Egypt.
“We call on the mediators and the Peace Council to force Israel to fulfill its obligations under the agreement on Gaza and to approve the plan for the implementation of its second phase,” the statement said.
Hamas once again confirmed that “they agreed with the roadmap offered to them.” However, they did not disclose what that roadmap included.
In turn, sources of Al Arabiya TV channel reported that Hamas tried to ensure that the weapons of the movement's supporters remained in Gaza during talks with US President's son-in-law Jared Kushner. However, according to the TV channel, Washington insists on removing weapons from the enclave.
