The secret military cooperation between the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (SEPAH) of Iran and Armenia has been revealed.

Modern.az reports that this detail is related to the Armenian side displaying the “Sepehr-110” digital tactical communication platform, which went unnoticed during the military parade held on May 28 this year.

This platform, developed by SEPAH's engineering and design group, was first introduced in July 2019. The system is designed to ensure information exchange at strategic, tactical, and combat levels, transmit information between various military units, and enhance command and control capabilities.

The platform is reported to operate in various ranges, providing real-time transmission of voice, digital data, telemetry, and images.

However, the technical analyses presented highlight several limitations regarding the system's capabilities. Due to sanctions imposed on Iran, it is assumed that digital components, including high-speed processors and elements used for signal processing, may rely on Chinese-made civilian components or parallel import channels. This could raise questions about the system's reliability in extreme conditions.

Another important issue is the integration of communication standards of various military structures. According to analyses, coordination of encryption keys and frequency plans may create technical difficulties when SEPAH and Iranian army communication systems are used jointly.

In fact, Sepehr-110 is not a strike weapon in the classical sense. Its main function is to collect, process, integrate data between various units, and ensure the command and control process. In other words, the system can be characterized more as a mobile command and control and information exchange platform.

In this regard, the real combat effectiveness of the system depends not only on its technical capabilities but also on the communication and information infrastructure with which it is integrated. It is particularly noted that the capabilities of such a platform may be limited without reliable long-range, including satellite, communication.

That is, Sepehr-110 is not a powerful weapon, and this is primarily due to its lack of satellite communication. The system itself is not a target-destroying weapon, and its significance emerges as part of a unified command and control and information exchange network.

Nevertheless, the mentioned fact reveals that Yerevan is actively cooperating with Tehran amidst severe sanctions against Iran and the military tension with the US in recent months.
