All participants of the Champions League for the 2026/2027 season have been announced.
Modern.az reports that a total of 81 teams will participate in the tournament.
36 teams will compete in the general stage, 29 of which are already known. Another 7 clubs will be determined based on the results of the four qualifying rounds. The teams are divided into “champions path” and “leagues path”. 5 clubs from the “champions path” and 2 clubs from the “leagues path” will qualify for the general stage.
General stage: Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, Aston Villa, Liverpool (all England), Inter, Napoli, Roma, Como (all Italy), Barcelona, Real Madrid, Villarreal, Atletico Madrid, Betis (all Spain), Bayern, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Stuttgart (all Germany), PSG, Lens, Lille (all France), PSV, Feyenoord (both Netherlands), Porto, Sporting CP (both Portugal), Brugge (Belgium), Slavia Prague (Czech Republic), Galatasaray (Turkey), Shakhtar (Ukraine).
Play-off stage. Champions path: Viking (Norway), AEK (Greece), LASK (Austria), Celtic (Scotland).
Third qualifying round. League path: Lyon (France), NEC (Netherlands), Union SZ (Belgium), Sparta Prague (Czech Republic), Bodo-Glimt (Norway), Olympiacos (Greece).
Second qualifying round. Champions path: Lech (Poland), Aarhus (Denmark), Thun (Switzerland), Hapoel BS (Israel), Omonia (Cyprus), Mellby (Sweden), Dinamo Zagreb (Croatia), Red Star (Serbia), Slovan Bratislava (Slovakia), Celje (Slovenia).
League path: Fenerbahçe (Turkey), Sturm (Austria), Hearts (Scotland), Gornik (Poland).
1st qualifying round. The qualifying matches will be held on July 7-8, 14-15, 21-22 and 28-29, August 4-5, 11, 18-19 and 25-26. The general stage will start on September 8-10. The final will be held on June 5, 2027, in Madrid.
