The US national team defeated Paraguay 4:1 in their first group stage match of the World Cup.
Modern.az reports that in the match held in Los Angeles, the goals for the USA were scored by Folarin Balogun (31, 45+5) and Giovanni Reyna (90+8). Another goal was an own goal by Paraguayan Damyan Bobadilla. Mauricio scored the only goal for Paraguay.
In the next matches of the teams in Group D, the USA will face Australia, and Paraguay will play against Turkey.
It should be noted that the World Cup, which started on June 11, will conclude on July 19. For the first time, 48 teams are participating in the tournament.
