The match between Germany and Curaçao in Group E of the World Cup has gone down in history.
Modern.az reports that Curaçao's head coach, 78-year-old Dick Advocaat, set a record as the oldest head coach in the history of World Cups.
He faced Julian Nagelsmann, the head coach of the German national team, who is considered the youngest coach in the World Cup. The approximately 40-year age difference between them was recorded as a first in the history of World Cups.
The match ended with Germany's 7:1 victory over Curaçao. The fact that the Curaçao national team, coached by Dick Advocaat, qualified for the World Cup as a country with a population of 150,000 and scored its first World Cup goal against Germany also went down in history.
It should be noted that Germany, Ivory Coast, Ecuador and Curaçao national teams are competing in Group E.
