In her statement to Modern.az, the chairwoman of the Azerbaijan-Serbia interparliamentary working group of the Milli Majlis, Malahat Ibrahimgizi, stated that they observed the elections on the spot.
"A delegation led by the Deputy Speaker of the Milli Majlis, MP Musa Gasimli, visited the country to observe the snap parliamentary elections held in Serbia. My fellow MP Nizami Safarov was also part of the delegation. As a delegation, the voting process in the polling stations we observed was carried out in accordance with Serbian legislation and adopted international standards. In these stations, a democratic atmosphere, an environment of mutual respect and stability, and the willing participation of people in voting attracted our attention. This could also be felt from the mood of the people. The voting ended on time and successfully."
She emphasized that strategic partnership relations have existed between Azerbaijan and Serbia for many years.
According to the MP, there are close cooperation and friendly relations between the two countries in both bilateral and multilateral formats.
"The successful completion of the elections at a high level in friendly Serbia, of course, makes us happy. We wish that the results of the election will be beneficial and successful for the friendly Serbian people. Our relations will continue to develop at the highest level. Currently, we have deep ties in various fields. Our cooperation will continue," added M. Ibrahimgizi.
