Iran ANNOUNCED conditions for passage through the Strait of Hormuz

The Iranian parliament has revealed new details regarding the plan for managing the Strait of Hormuz.

Modern.az reports that Mohammadreza Rezayi, chairman of the Iranian parliament's commission, published the articles of the strategic management plan for the Strait of Hormuz on his “X” page.

M. Rezayi wrote:

- The passage of any ship or cargo belonging to or associated with Israel through the Strait of Hormuz is completely prohibited.

- The passage of ships belonging to enemy countries is prohibited based on the decision of the Supreme National Security Council.

- The passage of ships or cargo from countries hostile to the resistance front is prohibited.

- Other vessels are allowed passage only after obtaining permission and paying “management, control, and security” costs.

- Payments are made in Iranian national currency (rial).

- Countries that have participated in any form of war will receive passage permission after paying compensation for the damages incurred.

- Any country, person, or legal entity that imposes unilateral sanctions against Iran or is hostile to it is deprived of passage through the Strait of Hormuz.

- The passage of ships from countries that use fake names instead of “Persian Gulf” in their documents and statements is prohibited.

- The collected funds will be used in three directions: increasing the country's defense capabilities and social security of the armed forces; restoration and development of the country's infrastructure; ensuring the welfare of the people.

- Failure to comply with these rules will result in the detention of the violating vessel, a fine, and the confiscation of 20% of the value of its cargo.
