The government in Romania has been dismissed as a result of a vote of no confidence.

Modern.az reports that in the vote held in parliament, the motion of no confidence against the government led by Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan was supported by the majority of deputies.

Thus, 281 of the 402 deputies who participated in the vote voted in favor of the no-confidence motion against the government. As a result, the Cabinet of Ministers was dismissed.

It is noted that the initiative was put forward by the Social Democratic Party, the country's largest political force, as well as the "Alliance for the Union of Romanians" and the "Priority for Romania" (PACE) party.

According to information, Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan left the parliament hall during the vote.

The no-confidence vote was prepared under the slogan "Stop the Bolojan Plan" and the document criticized the government's economic policy.

Romanian President Nicușor Dan stated in his speech before the vote that regardless of the outcome, the country's "Western vector" would be preserved.

It should be recalled that the government led by Ilie Bolojan began its activity in June 2025 after receiving a vote of confidence from the parliament.
