According to Modern.az, technology giant Samsung stated that the stronger entry of Chinese manufacturers into the market could lead to a decrease in prices.
According to the information, the price of DDR5 memory modules, in particular, has increased 3-4 times in recent years, creating a serious problem for both technology companies and consumers. This increase has also affected the cost of computers, servers, and artificial intelligence systems.
Samsung representatives noted that the increase in production by Chinese companies in the memory market will strengthen competition. This, in turn, could lead to a rapid 3-4 fold decrease in prices.
According to experts, the increasing demand for artificial intelligence technologies, in particular, has currently pushed the need for memory chips to a record level. For this reason, prices have risen rapidly in recent years.
Analysts believe that if supply increases in the market, a significant decrease in memory products used for both computer components and data centers can be observed.
