The recent scandal in Turkish politics concerning the Republican People's Party (CHP) is one of the most discussed issues.
The annulment by the court of the decision adopted at the CHP's 38th congress in 2023 and the removal of Özgür Özel from the chairmanship and the return of Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu to leadership have caused prominent figures to comment on the event.
Modern.az reports that world-renowned Turkish pianist and composer Fazil Say displayed a different attitude towards the events on his social media account. He wrote:
“The following three politicians, nominated as presidential candidates by the opposition, had very similar characteristics:
- Ekmeleddin İhsanoğlu (2014)
- Muharrem İnce (2018)
- Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu (2023)
All three acted as if they were creating hope, gaining popularity, and garnering widespread mass support.
All three either disappeared the day after their election defeats or made strange, hesitant statements. Voters regretted voting for all three, and 2-3 years later, all three did things that made people say, "It can't be," "This is impossible," "They deceived us," "What did we vote for?"
Currently, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu is at this very point. He cannot be trusted with a single word, and CHP voters are very angry. They will never forgive him.
