Concerns are growing about declining fuel production and a possible fuel shortage in Russia after Ukraine's attacks on Russian oil refineries.

Modern.az reports that Bloomberg has released information about this.

According to the information, in May, Ukraine hit 8 of Russia's 10 largest oil refineries. As a result, the average daily oil refining volume in the country was 4.58 million barrels.

It is reported that this figure is 700,000 barrels less than in the same period last year and is considered the lowest level recorded since October 2009.

Analysts predict that processing volumes will fall further in the coming months due to the shutdown of plants and the reduction of production capacities.

At the same time, it is noted that the Kremlin does not accept concerns about the situation. The information emphasizes that, despite this, certain restrictions on fuel sales have already begun to be applied in Russia.
